The Middle School Difference
Middle schoolers travel to each class, Language Arts, Health, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, STEM, P.E., and Religion.
Music is specialized in Choir or Band (5th grade is included in Band)
Electives: These courses change each term and are determined by the student and staff interest, student needs, and volunteer availability.
Extracurriculars: Chess Club, Service Club, and Lego Robotics are offered as adults become available to lead and supervise.
Sports: Our Athletic Director connects us with Bend Park and Recreation events, Bend-La Pine schools, and State run opportunities.
We offer cross country, basketball, volleyball, and track during their seasons.
End of day, travel time exceptions for developing musical skills, dramatic skills, or athletic abilities outside of St. Francis for additional training or competition in those areas are available at parents' request.
Socials and Retreats: The St. Francis middle school team provides social events for students throughout the year the include dances, service projects, open gym with our other regional Catholic schools, Fall Confluence, and Spring Retreat.
